Arrest in killing of 14-year-old boy

A high school student has been arrested in the killing of another teenager earlier this month in Brewerytown.Charles Wilson, 17, a student at William Penn High School, was arrested during classes on Thursday for the killing of Kareem Haynes, 14.

Haynes was shot while standing on a street corner talking to a couple of young ladies back on September 8th.

Police say he stumbled down the block and collapsed at 29th and Nicholas

At the time, police said the shooting may have been a case of mistaken identity, but when they announced the arrest on Friday investigators said there was a history of bullying between the two young men.

However, the circumstances of that history between the two teens is not clear at this time.

Friends say Haynes was preparing to enroll at Roxborough High School.
