Police are looking for the killer who gunned down a young man on a North Philadelphia street.

Investigators say that at about 12:30 Tuesday morning, officers found the 23-year-old victim lying on the ground in the 2500 block of North Colorado Street.

He had been shot in the back.

Officers say it looks like the man apparently struggled to get to Colorado Street, after being wounded.

Police took the man to Temple University Hospital, where he died from his wounds.

The victim was later identified as James Stansbury of the 3100 North 29th Street in Strawberry Mansion.

So far, there's no word from investigators on suspects or motives.
