Three men sought after cab driver shot

Police are looking for three men in the shooting and robbery of a cab driver early Wednesday morning in Camden. It happened along the 3200 block of Berkley Street at about 1:15 a.m.

Police say one of the men who jumped in the cab pulled out a single-barrel shotgun and fired. The shot hit the cabbie in the shoulder.

The men stole an undisclosed amount of money then got out of the taxi. The cabbie was able to drive himself to a nearby firehouse along the 2600 block of Federal Street where he called for help.

The 38-year-old man, who has not yet been identified, is being treated at Cooper Hospital and is expected to recover.

He is a driver for Gonzales Cab Company.

The suspects ran off and remain at large.
