Officer injured in crash

WILDWOOD CREST, N.J. - October 3, 2009 A Wildwood Crest Police officer is listed in fair condition after his patrol vehicle was involved in a crash this afternoon.

It happened just after 12:00 p.m. on Seaview Avenue and Rosemary Road in Wildwood Crest.

Crest Police say officer Matthew Barnett was traveling southbound on Seaview Avenue when his patrol car was hit by a vehicle traveling westbound on Rosemary Road.

The impact caused the police car to roll over several times. Barnett is being treated at the Cape Regional Medical Center in fair condition. The other driver is unhurt.

The accident is under investigation.
