The head-on collision crash happened just before 3:00 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the Roosevelt Boulevard, near Rising Sun Avenue.
Rescue crews had to extricate trapped passengers from the wreckage.
Two people were injured in one car – a third person was injured in the second vehicle. All three victims were transported to an area hospital with cuts and broken bones but are listed in stable condition.
Investigators are trying to determine what led to the accident.
