NJ lieutenant gov candidates to debate

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) - October 8, 2009

The three little-knowns will have to tell voters who they are before they start to disagree on policies.

Sen. Loretta Weinberg is a Teaneck Democrat running with Gov. Jon Corzine.

Republican Chris Christie chose Monmouth County Sheriff Kim Guadagno as his running mate.

Independent Chris Daggett is running with academic Frank Esposito.

The 90-minute debate will take place at Monmouth University in West Long Branch. It will be televised by News 12-New Jersey and broadcast on radio station New Jersey 101.5.

Forty-four other states have lieutenant governors.
