Schwalbe bicycle tire recall

October 15, 2009 7:25:22 AM PDT
The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Moser Enterprises announced a voluntary recall of about 5,000 Schwalbe Ultremo R Bicycle Tires, made in Indonesia by Ralf Bohle GmbH of Germany. The tire layers could separate, causing the inner tube to rupture and pose a fall hazard. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The recalled products were sold at bicycle specialty stores and online from April through May. Details: by phone at 888-700-5860; on the Web at http://www.schwalbetires.com or http://www.cpsc.gov.

Consumers should stop using the bicycles with recalled tires and contact their local dealer for a free replacement set of tires.
