Man dies in S. Phila. house fire

An early morning house fire in South Philadelphia has killed a man.

The fire broke out around 1:30 Tuesday morning in a home on the 1200 block of Ellsworth Street.

Firefighters arrived moments later and put the flames out in about 20 minutes.

When they searched the house they found the body of a man in a second floor bedroom.

Investigators have not released the victim's name, but say he was in his 50s.

The fire marshall is on the scene, trying to determine what triggered the deadly blaze.
