Man shot to death outside home

Deadly gunfire broke out in Philadelphia's Olney section Wednesday night. The shooting happened along the 100 block of West Fisher Avenue around 8:45 p.m.

A 39-year-old man was shot and killed moments after arriving home, according to police.

The man, believed to be in his late 30s, was gunned down on the street next to his car.

Reports indicate the man arrived home, only to notice the lights were still on in his car. He want to back to his car to shut them off, when he was shot twice in the chest.

The gunmen fled in a late 1990's Honda Accord.

He was rushed by medics to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Neighbors describe the victim as a hardworking, nice man.

So far, there is no word on a motive.
