Wilmington bank robbery suspect caught

WILMINGTON, Del. - October 15, 2009 It happened around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday at the Delaware National Bank at 600 South Harrison Street.

Police say Daniel Vickery, 29, entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. The teller turned over the cash and Vickery fled on foot.

Officers at the scene had just broadcasted his description when another officer spotted him at S. Franklin and Oak Streets.

As the officer approached, police say Vickery fled on foot, but was caught ater a short chase.

Vickery is charged with robbery and resisting arrest. He was sent to prison after failing to post bail.
