The shooting happened about 1:00 A.M. on Tuesday at the corner of 56th and Walnut streets.
The 18-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.
He is in the hospital in critical condition.
Investigators have not indicated if they have any idea who pulled the trigger, or why.
