Bird strike forces plane return to Allentown

A U.S. Airways flight from Allentown, Pa. to Charlotte, N.C. had to return to the airport after a bird strike Wednesday morning. It happened around 9:08 a.m. at Lehigh Valley International Airport.

There, air traffic controllers received a call from U.S. Airways flight 909 about the strike.

The plane, an Airbus 319, returned around 9:25 a.m.

There were no injuries.

It is unclear how many people were onboard.
