Wilmington consignment shop offers deals

WILMINGTON, Del. - November 16, 2009

Those are just some of the deals we spotted at the Silver Lining Ladies Consignment Boutique at 302 West 9th Street in Wilmington, Delaware.

Coby Couture opened the shop in late Spring because she thought it would be fun, and because she thought it might help revitalize the downtown Wilmington shopping area.

"If we don't take up a huge space and we find enough people who want to consign," Coby says she thought, "Maybe we can do this. And that's how it started."

Since the shop opened in late Spring, it's been popular both with women trying to make some money by cleaning out their closets, and with women who are trying to save money while adding to their wardrobes.

Consignors split the sale price 50/50 with the shop. And most of the inventory is priced at least 50% off new reta

il.

A Tahari suit was priced at $60. A jacket and shell from Dana Buchman were priced at $40, and a cashmere turtleneck sweater was $20.

Plus the store stocks shoes, jewelry and accessories.

The store's phone number is 302-654-4005. And you can reach them by email at silver_lining9801@yahoo.com.
