Police say a woman in her 40's was discovered beaten and strangled inside her home on Gifford Street around 10:30 a.m.
Police arrested her husband, described as being in his 50's.
He is expected to be charged with murder and related offenses.
At this time, there is no word on what started the deadly attack.
