On Friday nights, the Allen High School marching band is 527 musicians strong.
The school has a 39-member color guard.
And the drill team puts 72 students on the field.
Officials at a number of organizations, including the University Interscholastic League, say they've never heard of a bigger band.
The Dallas Morning News reports it takes 18 school buses to haul the contingent and three big trucks to carry all the instruments.
