Four hurt in crash involving police

Four people, including two police officers, were hurt in a crash in Northeast Philadelphia.

It happened around 4:12 p.m. at the intersection of Cottman Avenue and Castor Avenue.

Investigators were unable to say how seriously hurt those involved are, though none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening.

One male and one female officer were involved. The female officer suffered lacerations to her head, while the male officer suffered head injuries as well.

Both officers were taken to Frankford-Torresdale Hospital, treated and released.
