Woman peeped in bathroom stall

CENTER CITY - November 17, 2009

The man found his victim in a restroom stall at Hahnemann Hospital.

Police say a hospital visitor was inside a stall in an 8th floor ladies room around 7:30 p.m. Monday when, suddenly, her privacy was violated by a man with a camera.

"The individual utilizes some kind of device, like a camera, and came under the stall to photograph her, she believes," said Lt. Frank Vanore of the Philadelphia Police.

The victim only caught a glimpse of the peeper from behind. She said he was a light-skinned black male with short dreadlocks tied in a half pony tail. He was wearing a dark blue suede jacket, dark pants, and black suede sneakers with a yellow stripe.

A security guard told police he remembers seeing a person fitting that general description, and they're working to see if they can nail down a glimpse from one of the hospital's exit cameras.

Police and hospital officials say there have been no other incidents like that reported at Hahnemann.
