It happened around 7:00 p.m. inside Harrah's Casino in Chester City.
Harrah's officials say the patron, believed to be a woman in her early 80's, suffered severe injuries to a foot after getting her foot entangled in the escalator.
Harrah's officials say the escalator did not malfunction and that this was an unfortunate incident.
Medics responded and rushed the patron to Crozer-Chester Medical Center for treatment.
