Drugs found in woman's underpants

NEW CASTLE, Del. - November 29, 2009

He and his female accomplice have been charged with felony drug violations after officers found they were in possession of crack cocaine, heroin, and over $1,000 in suspected drug proceeds.

On Saturday, November 28, at 9:29 p.m., police responded to the Galloway Court Apartments for a report of a man selling drugs near the entrance of the complex.

When police arrived, the suspect was sitting inside a silver colored Buick SUV with two other female passengers.

The male driver, Ellerbe, was then removed from the car, Police found a bundle of heroin on the floorboard near the driver's seat. Ellerbe was then arrested without incident. The two female passengers were also detained as police searched for additional contraband.

During the course of the investigation, police discovered one of the female passengers, 18-year-old Desire Stringfield, had concealed two bags of crack cocaine inside her underpants when they originally observed the officer approaching them.

Both Ellerbe and Stringfield have been charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with the intent to deliver cocaine, heroin and several other felony drug offenses. Ellerbe has been arraigned and committed to the Howard Young Prison after failing to post $53,000 secured bail. Stringfield has been arraigned and released on $47,000 unsecured bail.
