The crash happened at about 6:05 at the intersection of Frankford Avenue and Jasper Street in the Frankford section of Philadelphia.
Police say the driver lost control of her vehicle and slammed into a utility pole, bringing down the pole along with the wires.
Rescue crews along with the assistance of PECO responded to the scene to shut off the power and check on driver's condition. The driver was extracted from the vehicle and transported to an area hospital for treatment.
There's no word on what caused the driver to lose control.
