Parenting Perspective: One on One

December 7, 2009

While working at the Thanksgiving Day parade my husband dropped off the girls and it was time for mommy and daughters to hang while the boys cooked the turkey! (No kidding! And it actually tasted pretty good!) The girls and I had a blast and frankly it's a little easier to focus on them when I'm not chasing after my toddler! They seem to appreciate the attention and handle it differently.

My oldest daughter likes to stay far from the camera, while the middle child had to be held back so she didn't jump in every shot! So, we did different things together to match their interest and the result was a really special Thanksgiving.

This past weekend, I hosted the annual Christmas party for Variety - the Children's Charity. It was a great event at the Crystal Tea Room. I took my oldest daughter and she shared her beautiful nature with the children with special needs. We all left with a warm heart and it was another way for me to sneak in some quality time while keeping busy with the season.
