Search for note carrying bank robber

WASHINGTON TWP., N.J. - December 10, 2009

Police say the man first entered the TD Bank on the 5200 block of the Black Horse Pike in Turnersville at 4:58 p.m. Thursday. He presented a demand note to a teller, but was unsuccessful in his quest to get any money. Police initiated a K9 search, but found nothing.

Less than an hour later and just a short distance away, the suspect struck again.

The man issued a teller at the PNC Bank in the Fires Mill Plaza a demand note. This time, he received an undetermined amount of cash and then fled.

Police tracked the man to the Franklin Township area, but lost track of him.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 40's with a thin build, last seen wearing a red sweatshirt, tan baseball style cap, and blue jeans.
