Update: Suspected pedophile doc could have 100+ victims

GEORGETOWN, Del. - December 23, 2009

According to an Associated Press report, Alexis Slutsky, a deputy attorney general assigned to the state's Child Predator Task Force, told reporters Wednesday it was impossible now to estimate how many children may have been abused. But she said she was comfortable saying there are "probably well over 100 potential victims," based on evidence seized from Dr. /*Earl Bradley*/'s home and practice in Lewes.

Slutsky says the number covers 1998 to the present.

Bradley, who was arrested last week, has been charged with 33 felony counts relating to seven victims. The counts include 8 counts of Rape 1st Degree, 4 counts of Rape 2nd Degree, 14 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child, and 2 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

His preliminary hearing on Wednesday was postponed until Jan. 14. Bradley remains held on nearly $3 million bail.

Eugene Maurer, Bradley's attorney, did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
