It happened on Webster Street and Heilprin Avenue in Woodbine, Cape May County at about 10:00 p.m. Saturday.
According to State Police, the suspect has been identified as 28-year-old Jeffery May of Oceanview, New Jersey.
The officers were injured when May tried driving away during a traffic stop. He struck both troopers, dragging them with his vehicle for an unknown distance. Fortunately, both troopers were treated and released from the Cape May Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
May has been charged with aggravated assault on troopers and is in custody at the Cape May County Jail. His bail has been set for $25,000.
