Topless Tiger Woods to be on Vanity Fair

NEW YORK - January 5, 2010

The photo was taken by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz and the magazine promises a full portfolio inside.

Vanity Fair describes the photos of Woods - taken before his huge marital scandal - as raw and unguarded.

The article that accompanies the photos is definitely post-scandal.

It's called "Tiger in the rough" and starts out, "When Tiger Woods finally fell from his pedestal..."

The photos emerge at a time when the man himself has remained hidden.

Woods hasn't been seen since the early morning crash outside his home in November, the day after Thanksgiving.

The crash began a series of events that showed the world the famed golfer had serious marital problems. After the scandal, Woods announced he was giving up golf for the foreseeable future.

The Vanity Fair magazine and its eye-catching cover are hitting newsstands in New York and Los Angeles on Wednesday and the rest of the U.S on Tuesday, January 12th.
