Crews finish preparations for 'Wicked' in Philly

PHILADELPHIA - January 5, 2010

The set is carried from city to city in 13 trucks. It takes about 100 people a total of three days to get everything set up.

However, when the show is over in three weeks, they'll be able to get it all torn down in about eight hours.

"It's always a different challenge in every city. In Philadelphia we're loading on the street, some different challenges hanging our sets. So, there's always something new and different," said head carpenter Justin Klynsma. "It keeps you on your toes."

This particular show has some changes since the last time it was here, since crews have incorporated lighting and other effects from the West Coast and London companies.
