Verizon's termination fees going up

January 6, 2010 The higher fee would amount to $360 for a two-year contract but decrease on a sliding scale over the 24 months.

Verizon tells Action News it has no comment whatsoever on the report. The company would only confirm that its current offer does expire on January 16th.

Now if the fee increase does go into effect it would signal a trend for Verizon. In November, the company doubled its early termination fee for smart phone customers under one to two year contracts.
