Christie grabbed lunch on Friday former Govs. Brendan Byrne, Jim Florio, Thomas Kean, Christine Whitman, Donald DiFrancesco and Jim McGreevey.
While he declined to divulge specifics, Christie says all were "incredibly generous in their advice."
The 47-year-old Republican takes office Tuesday.
