But Ball State University is bringing even more electronic media to about 100 students.
Their dorm at the Indiana school is being tricked out with the latest computers, TVs, video equipment and editing software.
It's a so-called "living-learning community." University officials say the idea is to help students appreciate the creative freedom of new technology, while using it responsibly.
Students in the dorm know they might end up in someone's video shoot just about anytime.
