Investigators say the first man was shot about 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday inside the house, located on the 5600 block of Appletree Street in West Philadelphia.
Police found the bullet-riddled body of the 39-year-old man in the house. He died from his wounds.
Two others were shot not far from the house.
One man in his 20s and another in his 30s were taken to the hospital where there is no word on their conditions.
Police say, the homeowner who did the shooting fled afterwards, but was later found on North 57th street. He is in police custody. There's no word on if he will face charges.
