Haitian orphans in Pa. moved to temporary home

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - January 22, 2010

Twelve orphans that have not already been adopted out were moved to the Holy Family Institute on Thursday. The social service organization will care for those children until their future is determined.

A spokesman for the Department of Health and Human Services say some of the other orphans are also being cared for at Holy Family because their adoptive families have not yet arrived to pick them up.

The orphans had been at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh following their evacuation earlier in the week. They spent days with caretakers from Pittsburgh who used the Internet to let the world know about their plight following the massive quake.
