The shooting happened at the intersection of North Sydenham and West Hazzard Streets.
Police say a woman, believed to be in her late 30's, sustained a gunshot wound to the shoulder. She was rushed by medics to Temple University Hospital for treatment.
She was deemed a trauma alert with stable vital signs while in transit.
At this time, police are scouring the area for the shooter.
No word yet on a motive.
