It happened in the 100 block of North Fairview Street around 6:00 a.m.
The homeowner tells Action News she heard a loud rumbling sound, then the house shook.
"I was standing in my middle room, I hear rumbling, and I'm like 'What's going on?" said Patricia Otting-Morgan. "The tree was right there, right on the carport."
The tree had just missed the bedrooms of both her son and daughter while they were sleeping.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
The carport even protected Otting-Morgan's truck from damage.
