Two wounded during bowling alley brawl

PRICES CORNER, DELAWARE - January 26, 2010

Investigators say it all started around 11:15 Monday night in the Prices Lane Bowling Alley on Kirkwood Highway in Prices Corner, across the street from State Police Troop 6.

About 250 young people were attending a rap contest at the bowling alley when a disagreement among some of them led to a fistfight.

That fight escalated into a brawl and spilled out into the bowling alley parking lot.

"Everyone started running out onto the lanes while people were bowling. [They went] out toward the doors and just, like, screaming," said employee Syndi Williams.

Police say that's when someone pulled a gun and started shooting.

Bullets wounded one man in the foot and another man in the ankle.

Friends drove the victims to Wilmington Hospital where they are being treated for what police describe as minor injuries.

However, with so many people at the scene, investigators fear more people may be injured.

The person who fired the shots remains on the loose.
