The Pro Football Hall of Fame coin was carried aboard the space shuttle Atlantis on a recent mission to the International Space Station.
The crew returned from orbit in November.
That coin will soon travel to Miami, where it will be used at the start of the big game between the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints.
The astronauts also carried a football with the names of all the Hall of Fame members, along with some other sports memorabilia.
The football will be presented to the Hall of Fame tomorrow in Canton, Ohio.
