Flasher on prowl in Montgomery Co.

SCHWENKSVILLE, Pa. - January 27, 2010

It happened on this stretch of the Perkiomen Trail near Plank Road in Schwenksville. The two women were walking toward Collegeville when they saw the man. After he exposed himself, the women started walking toward him.

He turned and ran off.

<>!-- The incident is disturbing news for people like Al and Iris Diver who walk the trail almost every day. But, it's not enough to scare them off. (SONY-SOT/15:00) [/Iris Driver/HARLEYSVILLE, PA.] (GIZ= Iris Driver/Harleysville, Pa.) (IN= Ususally him and I...) (OUT=afraid really. ) (Duration :07 ) (AUDIO CART) --> The trail can be deserted at times during the winter months, especially on weekdays.

Montgomery County Park Rangers are on patrol, but it's a long trail. State police are advising women to be aware of their surroundings and stay alert for suspicious looking characters.

For now, they're suggesting you bring the family dog or a friend if you're going out for a stroll.

Unfortunately the two women who encountered the Perkiomen pervert Tuesday saw more than they wanted to, but they didn't get a good look at his face. He was wearing a gray hoody and a dark blue ski mask.
