DUI offenders could be forced into ankle bracelets

DOVER, Del. (AP) - January 28, 2010

The bill is sponsored by Democratic Rep. Helene Keeley, who says the legislation was drafted after a number of arrests last spring and summer involving drivers with six DUI convictions on their records.

Under the bill, offenders would wear the bracelet for six months after their release from prison as a condition of their probation. Offenders would also have to pay for the monitoring.
