The city's health department is beginning enforcement Monday of the city's new menu labeling law. The law took effect at the start of the year but officials gave restaurants a month to prepare.
A first violation will result in a citation but a second offense means a $150 fine.
The law says establishments that have menu boards and 15 or more locations need to post calories of food items sold.
Restaurants must list information on carbohydrates, sodium, saturated fat and trans fat starting in April.
City Council first passed the law in November 2008.
