NJ man indicted in boat crash that killed 1

TOMS RIVER, N.J. - February 3, 2010

Anthony DiGilio of Brick Township is accused of vehicular homicide in the death of Robert Post of Essex Fells. The 31-year-old also faces assault by vessel charges.

Ocean County prosecutors say DiGilio's 27-foot speedboat ran over Post's 17-foot boat around 1 a.m. on the Metedeconk River in 2008. He kept going and told officials later in the day that he thought he had hit a log.

The indictment alleges DiGilio operated a vessel recklessly, but it does not say what constituted the alleged behavior.

DiGilio's lawyer, Joseph Tacopina, says he feels confident in his client's innocence.
