Police say the flat screen TV, valued at $6,000, was in the back of a marked USO van that was parked at the TJ Maxx store in the Brandywine Town Center complex around 8:30 p.m.
When the driver came out 45 minutes later, she noticed the driver's side door was stuck. She turned on the interior light and found the box cut open and the TV gone.
She then noticed the lock on the driver's side door had been damaged.
Investigators say there were no surveillance cameras in the parking lot, so they are now seeking witnesses to the crime.
