Mrs. Fixit: Homemade Laundry Pretreater

February 20, 2010

For this recipe you'll need some bar soap, a jar with a tight fitting lid like what spaghetti sauce comes in and a pot of boiling water.

Use a half a bar of regular soap or a couple of hotel size bars and break it up into small pieces then put the pieces into a pan of boiling water.

Use a wooden spoon to stir the mixture until it's all melted into the water. Then let it cool.

Once it's cooled, pour it into the jar. The soap and water mixture will jell up and get kind of gloppy.

This jelly is exactly what will treat those stain. Just put some on the stains and then toss them in the hamper or the washer.

This mixture won't harm fabrics that are safe to wash, so it won't matter if you can't get to the laundry for a day or two.

Keep a jar close to your laundry so it's right there when you need it. I'm Mrs. Fixit and it's just that simple!
