ABC says Evan Bayh will be a guest next week on "The View," his first live talk show appearance since announcing he won't seek re-election to the U.S. Senate.

The Democratic senator from Indiana will be interviewed by Barbara Walters and the other hosts of "The View" on Monday, Feb. 22.

The 54-year-old Bayh said this week he wouldn't seek a third Senate term in 2010, citing the bitter partisan divides that have dominated Congress in recent years. He joins an exodus of Washington lawmakers that includes both Democrats and Republicans.

"The View" airs daily at 11 a.m. EST on ABC.
