Authorities report a man in his mid-20's parachuted from the Great Park Balloon ride in Orange County.
The balloon had risen to more than 300 feet when the man climbed over the gondola's net enclosure.
Irvine city spokesman Craig Reem says the guy had a hidden parachute.
He floated to the ground, hopped a fence and got into a waiting car.
Reem says the stunt was dangerous and could be a violation of federal air safety law.
