It happened around 4:20 p.m. Tuesday in Warminster, Pa.
Police say the 12-year-old victim was walking northbound on Gibson Avenue when a man driving a white van pulled up alongside him.
The boy told police the driver said "get in." The boy said "no" and ran away.
The van sped off, making a right turn on Henry Avenue toward York Road.
The vehicle is described as a white van with no markings or visible damage of any kind. It did, however, have a roof rack.
The driver is only described as a middle-aged white man wearing a white t-shirt.
Police ask anyone with information to call 911 or 215-672-1000.
