6 easy ways to work from home

Virtual Assistant

Tiffany Shepherd is a stay-at-home mom who makes hundreds of dollars a week working from the comforts of her own living room.

How is she doing it? Tiffany works as a virtual operator for a company called LiveOps.

"If you have seen infomercials, the 800 number that goes up on the screen actually gets routed onto my phone and I complete the sale," said Tiffany.

LiveOps representative Tim Whipple says that all operators need to start is a dedicated phone line, headset, and computer.

According to Whipple, operators set their own hours and work by answering calls for all sorts of companies.

"A great agent can earn between 20 and 30 dollars an hour," said Whipple.

eJuror

If you don't mind being called up for "jury duty" then working as an "eJuror" may be more your style!

eJury hires clients to work as "test jurors".

e-Jury founder Christopher Bagby told Action News, trial lawyers hire online test jurors so they can get an idea on what will happen during jury deliberations before heading to court.

E-jurors review cases and give their judgment.

Using e-Jury, you can make from $5 to $20 a case.

Another site offering a similar opportunity is trialpractice.com

Grubb hires consumers for taste tests and focus groups done at local research facilities or, yes, even in your own home!

So what types of products are tested?

"Beverages, frozen food, paper products, hygiene products and then it's just not those items. It's credit card services, telephone services, cable services, bank services," added Grubb.

Testers can earn anywhere from $30 to as much as a few hundred dollars per survey!

Compensation is determined by product and time put into the survey.

Action News also found these online Survey Savvy and American Consumer Opinion which offer similar opportunities.

Representatives from both companies told Action News you can expect to earn from $2 to as much as a hundred dollars a survey!
