Cleanup at scorched Philadelphia International Records

PHILADELPHIA - February 22, 2010 Now the company that created the sound of Philadelphia is trying to get back up and running, while investigators work to pinpoint the cause of this suspicious fire.

We're told by the executive Vice President of Philadelphia International Records that most of the damage was confined to the administrative office. Still, a day later, they're taking stock of what was lost in the fire.

Philadelphia International Records is the spot where music legends like Patti LaBelle and Teddy Pendergrass have recorded.

Arson dogs that are used to sniff out potential accelerants that could have been used in Sunday morning's fire were on the scene.

Executive Vice President Chuck Gamble assessed some of the damage they've discovered so far.

The storage room where Gamble says the fire started was completely destroyed. The question remains, who would intentionally light a fire in this historic Philadelphia building?

As for the master recordings of the hits that were made at the studio, officials told Action News that they are kept in a secret vault off these premises.
