The school is at 1800 Limestone Road.
Red Clay School District spokesperson Patti Nash says parents were being asked to pick their children by 10:00 a.m. Students who were not picked up by 10:00 were taken to Central School at 1621 Telegraph Road.
Buses will not take students back to their bus stops. A DELDOT spokesperson says the main has one lane and a turn lane in the 1900 block of Limestone Road closed.
Artesian Water Company supplies water service in that area and is responsible for repairs. An Artesian Water spokesperson estimates 70 customers including the school are impacted. They expect to repair the 12-inch main in the roadway today.
The main break is weather related.
