Drifting snow closed roadways from Berks County to the Poconos Friday morning. Speed restrictions are in place on Interstates in central and northeastern Pennsylvania and PennDOT is urging motorists to avoid unnecessary travel.
The storm caused scattered power outages across the region but nothing like previous storms. PPL reports about 600 customers without service.
One runway is open at Philadelphia International Airport and officials there expect flight schedules to be near normal.
The storm prompted hundreds of schools to close for the second consecutive day in a wide swath from Philadelphia to the New York border.
