Parents in Del. sex abuse case face dilemma

LEWES, Del. - February 26, 2010

Authorities want parents of Dr. Earl Bradley's patients to provide photographs to compare with videos they claim Bradley used to document his sexual abuse.

Some parents have decided not to provide the photographs, saying their children seem fine and there's nothing to gain from finding out if they were abused.

But authorities say they have an obligation to help victims, and that children with no symptoms of abuse could have memories that surface later.

One expert says it's usually best to determine whether abuse has happened, but that parents shouldn't be coerced or pressured.
