Using an item that you love can help you choose colors you can really live with.
If you're choosing your color from a swatch, remember that the paint on the wall will be a little darker than the swatch so when you're in doubt you may want to go a shade lighter than you think.
If you're having someone else do the painting for you make sure that you check the color after it has been mixed.
The last thing you want is to come home at the end of a long day to find a completely different color than you were expecting.
